Pet Friendly Places

Home / Pet Friendly Places

Narrabri is a welcoming destination for travellers who don’t want to leave their four-legged companions behind. With a range of pet-friendly accommodation, outdoor spaces and dining options, it’s easy to explore the region with your pet by your side.

When travelling with pets, always check individual pet policies, follow local leash laws, and make sure your pet has access to plenty of water. During the warmer months, plan walks for early morning or evening to avoid hot footpaths that can be uncomfortable — and unsafe — for paws.

Please note: Pets are not permitted in National Parks or Conservation Areas.

Off-Leash Areas

Both Narrabri and Boggabri have two off-leash dog areas. When visiting off-leash areas, please keep your dog under close supervision and ensure they have reliable recall before letting them roam free.

Be considerate of fellow visitors and locals by always cleaning up after your dog using bags and the bins provided.

Outside of designated off-leash areas, dogs must be on a lead and under the control of a responsible person while walking around town.
