Burren Junction Artesian Bore Bath – Walgett region
Burren Junction Bore Bath is currently closed for the Summer.
When Burren Junction bore bath opens for the winter months, the town comes alive with expectant tourists wanting a relaxing, therapeutic dip in the hot artesian water. The water flowing from from the bore bath, which was sunk in 1921, maintains a constant temperature of approximately 41.5 degrees celsius. It is a popular meeting spot for visitors and locals.
Located just three kilometres from Burren Junction in the Walgett Shire and 100 metres off the highway, the bore bath is open 24/7 (although it closes seasonally). It also has an amenities block with electricity, pool side showers and barbecue facilities. Entry and on-site camping are free.
