The Ukulele Man is a multi award-winning show telling the remarkable true story of George Formby – the beloved wartime comedian and ukulele legend. From the bustling Music Halls of Blackpool to the frontlines of Europe, experience the untold tale of one of Britain’s most cherished stars of the 1930s and 40s.
Despite being banned by the BBC and even committed to a psychiatric hospital by his wife, George Formby rose to become the UK’s biggest star!
Join Marcel Cole and his real-life mother, Katie, at the Baan Baa Hall for an hour of music, laughter and storytelling. Step back in time to an era when live entertainment ruled the stage, and enjoy a heartfelt tribute to the greatest performer of them all.
Light refreshments, tea/coffee and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase in support of the Baan Baa Ooranga Preschool. BYO alcoholic beverages welcome (no glass, please). Please enjoy responsibly.
