Come along on this exclusive tour to visit the Pilliga feral predator-free safe haven.
Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) are inviting the public to join a self-drive tag-along tour at the Pilliga State Conservation Area.
Visitors will have an exclusive opportunity to step inside the feral predator free fenced area and see the positive outcomes of a ground-breaking conservation program firsthand.
The site in the Pilliga, near Narrabri is home to the threatened Bilby, Brush-tailed Bettong and Bridled Nailtail Wallaby.
The day tour will take visitors through part of the largest consolidated block of forest and woodland in western NSW where they will hear from AWC’s field ecologists and land managers about the reintroduction program and how the feral predator free area is helping prevent further extinctions. If they’re lucky, visitors may even catch a glimpse of a Bridled Nailtail Wallaby.
