The Boggabri Drovers’ Campfire will mark a special milestone in April 2026, celebrating 20 years of bringing people together under the stars.
Now a firm favourite on the travel calendar, the Campfire weekend attracts caravanners, motorhome travellers, campers, four-wheel drivers and those rolling out a swag or tent while exploring Australia’s highways and backroads. First sparked by Lion Geoff Eather and brought to life with the support of the Boggabri Lions Club, the event has grown into a relaxed, welcoming weekend that showcases the very best of country hospitality. The celebration is held annually on the last weekend of April.
Across the weekend, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities including a large communal campfire, camp oven cooking, shearing demonstrations, district and attraction tours, bush poetry, craft stalls, whip cracking displays, antique machinery, live bush bands and nightly entertainment. Above all, it’s a chance to connect with the local community and fellow travellers.
