Set on sprawling green lawns overlooking Narrabri Creek, The Crossing Theatre is designed to cater for residents and visitors alike. This $8-million complex, with its 1000-seat auditorium, glass-cased Riverside Room, exhibition room, and twin cinemas, regularly stages large scale conferences, promotions and concerts, screens the latest movies, and caters for private functions such as weddings and parties.

The Crossing Theatre also boosts a cafe that serves brunch, lunch, coffees, cakes and slices.

An initiative of Narrabri Shire Council, the theatre is the biggest of its kind in regional NSW. It is also admired throughout the local region for the diverse cultural and artistic opportunities it affords the Narrabri Shire.

The venue was named after its location on the Narrabri Creek, adjacent to one of the first crossing points over this body of water. It began operating in November 2002 and was officially opened by Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson, NSW Minister for Local Government Tony Kelly and Narrabri Shire Mayor Ross Panton OAM on 5 July 2003.

Location Information:

The Crossing Theatre is located on the Newell Highway in Narrabri, right next door to the Narrabri Region Visitor Information Centre.
