Categories are based on age turned in 2024. \nPlease note\, Balo Street will be closed on Friday 27/9/2024 from 5-9pm from the Gwydir Street to Albert Street intersections to accommodate this event. \nOptional Teams Challenge: Gather together a crew and nominate a team when registering for the Kamilaroi K. Teams will be divided into four categories – School\, Village\, Corporate and Community Group – and require a minimum of three members with no upper limit. First member to register will create the team for other members to join. The team from each category with the fastest three times on the night in the Kamilaroi K 1km race will be crowned the category champion. There is no obligation to register within a team. \n  \nNewPave Asphalt Kamilaroi K \nDate: 27/9/2024 \nTime: 6pm \nWhere: Corner of Balo and Gwydir Streets\, Moree \n  \nSATURDAY 28th SEPTEMBER 2024 – Moree Water Park\, Tapscott Rd\, Moree \nBeat the black soil with a packed morning of running events at the Moree Water Park. Saturday\’s courses will loop around the stunning ski lakes 10km south of Moree\, navigating gravel and dirt tracks\, with plenty of ideal spectating positions to catch the action. After their run\, participants can recuperate in the Grove Juice Recovery Zone then cool off with a dip in the ski lake. With five distances on offer ranging from 3km to 36km\, there is a race to challenge every ability. \nOn-track facilities will include water\, electrolytes\, energy gels and toilets. There are time restrictions for entrants in the NewPave Asphalt Triple (see below)\, however there are no time restrictions for entrants in any other event. Presentations will be held at the conclusion of the last race. Food and drink vendors will be on site to fuel participants and spectators. \nPlease note\, Moree Water Park does not have bitumen paths. The running events will be held on uneven terrain and will be challenging for wheelchairs or prams. SUMMARY:Australia Telescope Compact Array – Night Photography Sessions
DESCRIPTION:We understand that people are interested in coming to site to photograph the telescope and the night sky. We remind the public though that the site shuts to the public at 5pm daily\, and that staying overnight is strictly prohibited. This is primarily for the safety of the public and the equipment on site. \nWe do however host photographers in the evening roughly once per month while the Milky Way is visible and the Moon does not wash out the stars. The schedule of nights in 2024 is shown below. \nSaturday May 4 5:00pm – 11:00pm\nSaturday June 1 4:30pm – 11:00pm\nSaturday July 6 5:00pm – 11:00pm\nSaturday August 3 5:00pm- 11:00pm\nSaturday August 31 5:00pm – 11:00pm\nSaturday September 28 5:00pm – 11:00pm \nThese events are free of charge\, but bookings are essential and you must indicate your attendance via email prior to the evening so we can make appropriate preparations. \nDuring these events\, you will be able to cross the fence and get better vantage points\, under staff supervision.
