DESCRIPTION:Night Photography\nWe understand that people are interested in coming to site to photograph the telescope and the night sky. We remind the public though that the site shuts to the public at 5pm daily\, and that staying overnight is strictly prohibited. This is primarily for the safety of the public and the equipment on site. \nWe do however host photographers in the evening roughly once per month while the Milky Way is visible and the Moon does not wash out the stars. \nThese events are free of charge\, but bookings are essential and you must indicate your attendance via email prior to the evening so we can make appropriate preparations. During these events\, you will be able to cross the fence and get better vantage points\, under staff supervision. \nPlease email narrabri@csiro.au to book your place. \nTo view the schedule of nights in 2021 please visit https://www.narrabri.atnf.csiro.au/public/ \nWe are currently unable to make special arrangements for groups at any other time.

DESCRIPTION:Night Photography\nWe understand that people are interested in coming to site to photograph the telescope and the night sky. We remind the public though that the site shuts to the public at 5pm daily\, and that staying overnight is strictly prohibited. This is primarily for the safety of the public and the equipment on site. \nWe do however host photographers in the evening roughly once per month while the Milky Way is visible and the Moon does not wash out the stars. \nThese events are free of charge\, but bookings are essential and you must indicate your attendance via email prior to the evening so we can make appropriate preparations. DESCRIPTION:Ready\, Set?  Adventures in Digital Landscapes\nMichael Scott-Mitchell\nThe Crossing Theatre\, arrivals at 6.30pm for a 7pm start \nSomehow\, and life is strange in the way it springs things upon you unexpectedly\, I have found myself at the forefront of digital explorations in design for performance.  In the last twelve months I have designed Madame Butterfly for Opera Australia\, the first fully fledged digital design for opera in Australia\, UAE48 National Day Celebrations in Abu Dhabi\, parts of World Expo in Dubai\, and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra’s Christmas season – Noël Noël at the Angel Place Recital Hall. All of these works embrace digital technology\, which in turn I am enfolding into my research as Professor of Practice\, UNSW Art and Design.  Digital Landscapes are a part of our future\, and my interest is how to enfold this technology to enhance performance. Not always as easy as you might think… \nFor the past three decades Michael Scott-Mitchell has been a formidable force within the performing arts making a major contribution both within Australia and internationally.
