DESCRIPTION:Narrabri will be hosting the Santos Festival of Rugby in February 2021 – with a pre-season game between the Waratahs and the Reds at 8pm local-time on Friday 5 February the centrepiece of this celebration of Rugby. \nRugby fans will also be treated to some of the best elite men’s sevens talent in Australia going head-to-head over a three-day selection and preparation tournament\, organised by Australian Men’s Sevens Head Coach Tim Walsh ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.\nThe sevens carnival will see Australian squad players line-up against squads from the Queensland\, and New South Wales sevens programs\, as well as representation from an ‘Australia Pacific’ sevens team. \nDuring the Festival\, there will also be junior coaching clinics supported by the Classic Wallabies to ensure all parts of the Rugby community are engaged across the festival\, which will take place from Wednesday 3 February to Saturday 6 February. \nTicketing and further information can be found at https://www.santos.com/festival-of-rugby/ or Click Here to view the program.

SUMMARY:Outback Archies - Exhibition on Tour
DESCRIPTION:Outback Archies on Tour is a selection of specially curated artworks drawn from Outback Arts’ 10th Annual Art Prize held in 2020. The exhibition contains many of the major prize winners and judges favourites. This exhibition showcases artwork by 20 artists\, including our first ever Young Archies. These artists have come together from a number of towns throughout regional NSW\, stretching from Bourke and as far as Broken Hill. \nWhile this exhibition is on display at The Crossing Theatre\, it will also include artworks from three local artists that were part of the larger exhibition previously held in Coonamble in 2020. These artists are Olwyn Campey\, Jessica Tribe and Judy Nobilo. \nThe exhibition is open from 11am – 3pm Monday – Saturday from February 11 – February 23. \nPlease note the exhibition will be closed on the February 18..

Founder of the modern English navy\, President of the Royal Society\, Member of Parliament\, talented musician\, composer and lover of numerous women\, Samuel Pepys was all of these\, but it is this candid diary that has ensured he remains a household name centuries after his death. “And so to bed …”\, this talk on Pepys tells of the Plague and the Great Fire\, constant womanising\, theatre-going and dinners. Susannah loves to share her enthusiasm for this most human and delightful of diarists.  \nSusannah Fullerton has been passionate about literature for as long as she can remember. The Crossing Theatre are setting up their outdoor screen at Boggabri and Wee Waa Showgrounds so it replicates a small version of the old Drive-In Movies. \nBoggabri – 9 April 2021 \nFilm: Ride Like A Girl (PG) – The inspirational story of Michelle Payne\, the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup despite facing odds of a 100 to 1. \nWee Waa – 16 April \nFilm: Oddball (PG) – An eccentric chicken farmer\, with the help of his granddaughter\, trains his mischievous dog Oddball to protect a penguin sanctuary from fox attacks in an attempt to reunite his family and save their seaside town. \nTime: Gates will open at 5.30pm for a 6.30pm start. \n\nthere will be a maximum of 50 cars – the first in will get the best position\nFood and snacks will be available\nYou will need to tune into an FM station so please ensure your vehicle has this capacity\nYou can also bring a picnic and chairs as there will be an area just in front of the big screen in case your view isn’t perfect\nWeather permitting – the event will be cancelled if wet or too windy – an email will be sent on the day if this is the case

DESCRIPTION:Night Photography\nWe understand that people are interested in coming to site to photograph the telescope and the night sky. We remind the public though that the site shuts to the public at 5pm daily\, and that staying overnight is strictly prohibited. This is primarily for the safety of the public and the equipment on site. \nWe do however host photographers in the evening roughly once per month while the Milky Way is visible and the Moon does not wash out the stars. \nThese events are free of charge\, but bookings are essential and you must indicate your attendance via email prior to the evening so we can make appropriate preparations. During these events\, you will be able to cross the fence and get better vantage points\, under staff supervision. \nPlease email narrabri@csiro.au to book your place. \nTo view the schedule of nights in 2021 please visit https://www.narrabri.atnf.csiro.au/public/ \nWe are currently unable to make special arrangements for groups at any other time.
