Register today and let\’s run the plains together! \nhttps://raceroster.com/events/2024/92540/run-the-plains? \n\n\n\n  \nFRIDAY 27th SEPTEMBER 2024 – Moree CBD \nTear up the streets with a 1km run along Balo Street to set the pace for the Run the Plains weekend. \nRaces to commence from 6pm in the following category order: Wheelchair/Accessible\, 6-9 years\, 10-12 years\, 13-16 years\, Open Ladies 17-59 years\, Open Men 17-59 years\, 60+ years. Categories are based on age turned in 2024. \nPlease note\, Balo Street will be closed on Friday 27/9/2024 from 5-9pm from the Gwydir Street to Albert Street intersections to accommodate this event. \nOptional Teams Challenge: Gather together a crew and nominate a team when registering for the Kamilaroi K. Teams will be divided into four categories – School\, Village\, Corporate and Community Group – and require a minimum of three members with no upper limit. First member to register will create the team for other members to join. The team from each category with the fastest three times on the night in the Kamilaroi K 1km race will be crowned the category champion. There is no obligation to register within a team. \n  \nNewPave Asphalt Kamilaroi K \nDate: 27/9/2024 \nTime: 6pm \nWhere: Corner of Balo and Gwydir Streets\, Moree \n  \nSATURDAY 28th SEPTEMBER 2024 – Moree Water Park\, Tapscott Rd\, Moree \nBeat the black soil with a packed morning of running events at the Moree Water Park. Saturday\’s courses will loop around the stunning ski lakes 10km south of Moree\, navigating gravel and dirt tracks\, with plenty of ideal spectating positions to catch the action. After their run\, participants can recuperate in the Grove Juice Recovery Zone then cool off with a dip in the ski lake. With five distances on offer ranging from 3km to 36km\, there is a race to challenge every ability. \nOn-track facilities will include water\, electrolytes\, energy gels and toilets. There are time restrictions for entrants in the NewPave Asphalt Triple (see below)\, however there are no time restrictions for entrants in any other event. Presentations will be held at the conclusion of the last race. Food and drink vendors will be on site to fuel participants and spectators. \nPlease note\, Moree Water Park does not have bitumen paths. The running events will be held on uneven terrain and will be challenging for wheelchairs or prams. In the event of inclement weather in the week leading up to the event\, the planned course may not be accessible and this may result in adjustments at the committee\’s discretion for the safety of participants. \n  \nNewPave Asphalt Triple \nRun the Half\, 10km and 5km events for a total of 36.1km. Time cutoffs apply\, with competitors required to finish each event prior to the start time of the following event: 2hrs for 21.1km\, 1hr for 10km. \nTime: 7:00am \nAge Restriction: 17+ years \n  \nMcGregor Gourlay Agricultural Services Half Marathon \nTime: 7:00am \nAge Restriction: 17+ years \n  \nB&W Rural 10km \nTime: 9:00am \nAge Restriction: 13+ years \n  \nGrove Juice 5km \nTime: 10:00am \nAge Restriction: All ages \n  \nS&L Girard Grader Hire 3km \nTime: 11:00am \nAge Restriction: All ages\, with age group prizes for 6-9 years\, 10-12 years & 13-16 years \n  \n
